Using typing skills to advance through a game is a great idea. The game is fun, and it helps with your typing skills.
I liked the game, but I do have some suggestions.
I would have suggested that you use different types of characters (including ( , # etc..) to destroy enemies. This would probably be used on the harder difficulties rather than the easier difficulties; that way the waves wouldn't have to grow as big, and as quickly (on the hardier difficulties), but instead it would increase the difficulty of destroying each soldier. Although perhaps insigificant, it could also increase game performance, as less soldiers, tanks, etc. would have to be spawned.
As for the bugs:
Entering a word correctly would cause your soldier to fire at an enemy, but sometime, depending on the angle of the shoot, the shoot would miss the target. If the soldier stopped walking, or got very close to you, then you could hit him.
Sometime the soldiers will overlap each other. When this happens, the words for each soldier will overlap as well, making it near impossible to read.
As far as bugs, those were the biggest I ran into.
Not bad. Headshots were somewhat difficult with the M1 Browning but that is understandable. Too bad you couldn't get headshots with the bazooka. In the end, switching between the M1 Browning and the bazooka is the best strategy I found. I eventually suicided in the end by using only the M1 Garand because the levels got boring. Also protecting secret documents for more than 20 or so level gets kind of boring: I didn't bother finishing. The game was fairly easy. After about the 10th level, the game began to run slow.
Not bad for a turret defence game. It get a little repetitive but I was glad to know it eventually ended (meaning you could win it). The diversity of towers was nice, all though in the end I just used water towers and rocket towers. The rocket towers were very helpful.
Nice work on the game. Graphics are decent, weapons are plentiful and full of variety, etc.. I liked the equipment and the exhaust venting feature. I played a little like a rookie, but I have no complaints about the game, with the exception of the store. I found no strategy behind the things you purchase except to buy the store out. I would suggest maybe increasing the price of all store items so that a person can not buy out the whole store, rather they must choose carefully their purchases so they may use them in a strategy. Otherwise, you become nearly invincible.
So even if you don't win, there is still hope for the human race. And there was much rejoicing (Monty Python quote). They are only saying that so you don't feel as bad for dooming the human race to anihilation. WELL HEAR THIS!! I PLAYED THE GAME AND THAT'S THAT. I WILL NOT BE SUCKED INTO THIS VIRTUAL WORLD TO BECOME A SLAVE TO THIS GAME. I HAVE MY OWN LIFE AND I AM GOING TO LIVE IT.
Nice work with the animation. I don't think space marine, or anyone else from War Hammer know what the f word is, but since you requested that it not be part of the critique, it excluded that negative.
Looks like Mario and Luigi had a makeover, haha; bunch of punks. Luigi smoking flower power joints, Mario eating his magic mushroom sandwiches and swing his massive wrench, Toad using all the equipment he has at his disposal helping out the others and still being as vulnerable as before, and peach just wasn't helpful at all. And Bowser is defeated once again.
Pretty much the same as before but with lots of improvements:
Luigi is not the coward he used to be, Mario has buff and bulk, Toad (although still weak) looks better and has better weapons at his disposal. Peach is... uh... forget about peach; they may have been better off without her. Bowser; definitely better that before.
I think the silent films with music in the background are actually nice with the right video; this was it.

Nice game idea

Simple and yet fun.

A very nice game
Nice bit of work. Allowing your base defence to damage the base/mech would have been better. It really does help.
